Vision, Mission & Motto

What we work towards.

Vision

Curious, capable citizens

To send out young people who think for themselves, work with others, and carry their learning into the world.

Mission

Small classes, trained teachers

To keep classes small, teachers well trained, and assessment honest, so every child is known by name.

Motto

Learn, Serve, Lead

The three words on our crest, in that order.

03
Core values

What we hold to.

Honesty

In assessment, in reporting results, and in what we tell parents.

Respect

For every child, family, and member of staff, whatever their background.

Effort

We reward the work, not only the outcome.

Service

Every senior class runs a community project through the year.

04
History

Twenty-seven years in Pune.

The school was founded in 1998 by a group of teachers who wanted a school run by educators rather than administrators. CBSE affiliation was granted in 2004. The senior-school block was added in 2011 and the science wing in 2016.

05
Chairperson's message

From the Chairperson.

Mrs S. Deshpande
We built this school so that our own children would have somewhere honest to learn. That standard has not changed.

The Society reinvests every rupee of surplus into the school, its teachers, and its facilities. We publish our fees and our results in full, and we welcome parents to ask.

Mrs S. Deshpande
Chairperson, Silver Oak Education Society
06
Principal's message

From the Principal.

Dr A. Kulkarni
Keep classes small, keep teachers trained, keep the door open. Most of what matters follows from those three.

I read the parent feedback myself each term. If something is not working, we would rather hear it early.

Dr A. Kulkarni
Principal
